Provide the revenue from Taxonomy-aligned economic activities related to fossil gas.
CSRD
1. Definition of Revenue from Taxonomy-Aligned Economic Activities Related to Fossil Gas
Revenue from Taxonomy-aligned economic activities related to fossil gas refers to income generated from activities that are aligned with the EU Taxonomy and specifically involve fossil gas (such as natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), or other fossil-based gas products).
The EU Taxonomy is a classification system for environmentally sustainable economic activities, and it includes activities related to fossil gas if they meet specific criteria set by the regulation (e.g., if they contribute to reducing emissions compared to other fossil fuels, or use carbon capture technologies).
2. Disclosure Requirements
Disclose the total revenue generated from fossil gas-related activities that are aligned with the EU Taxonomy:
Amount or percentage of total revenue from fossil gas activities that meet the EU Taxonomy’s sustainability criteria.
Explanation of alignment: Describe how fossil gas activities are deemed Taxonomy-aligned, including the specific criteria that are met (e.g., contribution to emissions reduction, use of carbon capture and storage).
3. Reporting Considerations
Currency and Accounting Standards: Specify the currency used for revenue reporting (e.g., USD, EUR) and ensure that revenue is reported in accordance with financial standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Clarification of Activities: Clearly differentiate between revenue from fossil gas activities that are Taxonomy-aligned and those that are not, as the latter may not qualify for inclusion in sustainability reports.
